CT Sounds Hydro 8"

Been having the itch to play with some more 8's, and have been looking at a few different subs. I ran some xd8's for a couple years and really liked them, but I want to try some other brands out. I was looking at the CT Sounds Hydro at a local shop and they look a lot beefier than the xd8's I had, and seem like they're pretty well made. Has anyone run CT subs before, are they pretty decent? I get a discount at the shop do my price comes out to $65 each. I'm going to be running 3-4 of them in a t-line on 2 vfl80.1's. I can run the amps strapped or individually.

The Skar vvx is another sub I was considering running as well. I had a zvx8 and it was a beast. Anybody have any input?

Owner is a Dbag. I looked at the PSI 8 when I was picking mine out. It came in second but I like custom stuff and psi can do custom. Not as good as DD since they don't have composite cones

The owner being a dbag doesn't keep me from buying, especially if the subs are decent. Even if you have issues these companies have the all too famous "user ran too much power" to get out of it. I'm sure if you met the owner out of all the other companies you buy things from, most of them are probably a dbag too.

Unless I've been out of the loop, both subs you mentioned are 2-3x the cost of the hydro 8. Trying to keep it under $75 each.

Ct sounds subs always sounded pretty decent outputwise and musical from all the CT demos ive gotten.

You paying for the subs+the ride? Might get more of a discount if I buy an *** load of them lol. I've got to go there this morning to pick up a customers x-12, so I figured I'd pick up 3 of them while I was there. I paid $72ea for my xd8's, and they were some **** good subs. The Hydro's look/feel alot beefier and better made, so hopefully looks aren't deceiving.

Already started on the box.

I used to want to try out some Atomic 8s but never actually pulled the trigger. Don't know where you'd find em now.

Looks really good. Let me know how you like it. I've had pretty good luck with them (CT Sounds). I've ran 4 15" Strato, 2 15" Strato, and now 4 Meso 10".
