Hey what's up everyone. New on here but not to car audio. I've been out of the loop for a long time. I am looking to do something simple in my truck. I'm looking at a box under the front driver chair with a shallow mounted 10. 6.5 components in the front and 6.5 coxial in the rear. I'm thinking of running a single 5 channel amp to run everything. Speakers I have been looking are the entry line CDT or the helix blue. Only place I can find the helix blues are on crutchfield. What do you recommend for a sub and amp? I was looking zapco but I'm open to other suggestions. Knukonceptz wiring. If you guys have any other suggestions that fit the bill better, post it up. Not trying to go over board with this build like I have done in the past lol. Oh and I mostly listen to country and hip hop

Thanks in advance

The Cdt com 626cr is prolly what your looking at I do either a American bass oh 5100 fr or a b2 Quattro and the new sld600 I like having separate amps. As far as the sub that will depend I mounting depth if under the seat I'd say prolly 3-4" at most. Which is gonna shorten your choices a lot I've installed quite a few of the Cdt sets. Hell I got 2 new sets right now but you'll need to deaden the doors for sure with the lower end models. If I can help anymore. Just ask

4.25 is max mounting depth for the sub.

I wasnt planning on deadening the doors. You think the whole door needs to be done? Deaden Around the speaker? Or is there other speakers? I was on SSA website and saw incriminatory speakers

Deaden the whole door. The Cdt set will be fine. Also. You'll need to be looking at flat subs. Which will be 500 watts rms at most

i hear what your saying about the sub. def dont have a lot of options but still have some LOL

i was reading on the IA components and they seem pretty good. i am looking at a 5 channel amp because i want to make the installation simple. two amps kills the budget. plus with the fact that the sub will be under 500 watt rms, i feel that a 5 channel would work.

also, will deadening be necessary?

You won't get the most of of any components without deadener I've never used the ua components. But what o do know from any components is the lower end ones tend to be lacking in the mid bass As for subs it depends on your budget the dd sub may be a bit pricey splines shallow sub is decent as well

i know your right about deadening the doors. just something i was trying to avoid. i would love to keep everything under 700-800 bucks for everything. once i factor in the head unit i am buying from my friend. it puts me at 1000. def dont want to be over that.

Well when ready. Shoot me a pm. And I'll see what I can do price wise for everything

that is a nice amp. any input on components?
I have the 3ch version and i really like it.

I run CDT components myself and like them quite a bit, but im feeding them 150 a side. DD has a base set of componets the CS 6.5s 50wrms and im sure they sound fantastic. They come with the T2 tweeter which i used to run and really liked them. If ure looking to stay budget friendly the SQ (soundqubed) set is suppose to be pretty decent.
