Help me with my frontstage

Hi.

I got 3 way CDT ES-07.3 set 300rms + up-526xt upstage kit 100rms. I was running it with 400w x 2 from my old PPI PC4100 amp and It sounded ok, with very strong midbass overpowering the midrange. It was ok until I installed two 13W7. So now I'm lacking the midrange alot and I don't need that strong midbass.

I'm thinking to try to go half-active for more control over 7" drivers. I like to run 7"s with 100x2 active and 4"+Tweets+Upstage with 200x2 passive.

Am I going in the right direction?
