help me with a comp recommendation for new truck...

Just bought a 2006 Dodge Ram sport reg cab and the factory stuff has to go. Amps will be UsAmps Xterminator Xt800.2 (100x2) for the comps and the 800w mono model for the sub.

doors can fit a 6.5-7" driver and i will be deadening them as well. I want soft dome tweets for sure and depth up to about 3.25" is ok. looking at OZ Matrix Elites although the crossover is quite large. Anybody got any other suggestions, i'm open to diy stuff and i could easily get a 4 channel amp instead of the 2 channel.

I myself am going with a set of Rainbow Germs, same 6.5 up front although they are above your range of $300, there is always the SLC's...which I believe are around what your looking to pay....

i kinda wouldn't mind something i could mount coaxially like the id chameleon's but i've heard there have been issues with the mids at times.

so you guys think the slc's are better than the matrix elites? i've never heard either and there are no dealers close to me for either set. if it helps the mids will be mounted IB in a large door.

Morel HU621 mids and mdt12 tweeters run active off a jl 450/4 or equal and u can find that setup all day for 325 or less shipped.

Tough call, but I think Id still go with the Germs. Specifically due to their extremely flexible/biampable crossovers, not to mention the newly redisgned CAL25 tweets.
