Couple weeks ago my bass cut out due to the fuse under the hood becoming corroded. I replaced the fuse and holder with a waterproof one and added some electrical tape to be secure. Now after redoing the connection the bass is not as loud as it was. Took the following readings from the car today:
Car off front battery = 13.12
Car off rear battery = 13.10
Car on F.B. = 14.17
Car on R.B = 14.12
Reads 14.18 at amp with car on.
Ohm load at amp is 1.1.
(Accurate rating on both the VC's of the sub as well.)
I did change the ground location..but I feel the new one is better - more solid/secure. Other than that all settings are the same. Gain was set with DMM using 45hz test tone (~36 volts). I have tried swapping the + and - from the sub to the amp as well as changing the phase on both HU and amp but to no avail. Bass output is just not close to what it was. Any help is greatly appreciated -- I'm going nuts with no bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif
