Help Me Tune A Box For 3 12's

Hey Everyone,

I have 3 kicker cvr's and It's gonna be in a Big Bronco so i have plenty of space but i wanna build it around my spare tire and angled toward the back window (from what i hear that'll make it a lil louder). SO how would i tune to to 30hz. I really have no idea what that means but from what i read 30hz is good for deep bass and to get some SPL.

How big and long should the ports be?

Ohh and let me ask a Retarded question.....I was reading somewhere where a dude was talking about how he tuned his box to like 50somthin hz and sombody else was like, but dude, what about the girls, and he said don't worry i have another box tuned to 20somthin hz. umm.. the higher it is like in the 40's the more the spl anything around 43-50 would be for competition only.. 20 is for like pure sq.. and is waaay too low. i doubt u would even hear most of the music.

when i had my old ported box with 2 15's it was about 22"deep 22"high and 44" wide

It might even be bigger than what i remember but i do know that i don't want it no bigger than that

those ports just look like wholes without the tube. according to bass box pro, the EPB (efficiency) of your sub is 22, so it would do well in a sealed box. if you think you can **** it up and have a sealed box, here are some dimensions that would have each chamber tuned at exactly 30 Hz:

L * W * H

21.75 * 48 * 18

seperated into three equal sections.

sorry, program accidentally assumed heavy dampening was used. the actual dimensions are as follows:

3 ft per sub sounds pretty big for cvr's...

the VAS for the 12 CVR on BBP6 lists 3.278 ft^3. perhaps theyre wrong. i dont know much about the sub.

just checked the kicker wevsite and they also claim 3.28 ft.^3

i had 2 12"cvr's in 1.25 sealed a piece. and they hit pretty hard.. but since i've started building my own boxes, i'd take ported any day. my boxes are tuned between 30-33. nice and low but still loud.
