Help me troubleshoot....amps not coming on

Im currently trying to install an Ampman 1500, and an ED 9.4.

1/0 power and ground, power is fused at the battery, and running into a fused block. Made a new ground behind the rear seats, directly to the floor of the suv. Ground runs from there into a ground d block.

The ampman power light will come on, but it flickers between power and protect. I have yet to get even a power light out of the 9.4

I tried both amps in another car, they work fine.

So far, to solve the problem, I have made the new ground mentioned above, and tested the voltage on the 4 gauge coming out of the power d block.

Its been mentioned that it may be a remote wire problem, can I check that with a DMM? If so, what reading am I looking for?

Im looking for suggestions on what else could be the problem, what else I should check.

try to bridge the power and the remote...like put a staple or a small piece of wire to connect them....if the amp works than it is a remote wire problem...if not then keep lookin
