help me spend around 400$

well my re xxx15 04 model bit the dust. i had re coned it in the past and dont really know if thats still an option. i kinda want something new anyways.

as far as amp i have a soundstream vga 1600.2 2 X 800 RMS 2 Ohm

1 X 1600 RMS 4 Ohm Mono

im looking for a nice 15 or maybe a 12 for 400$ or less.

15 1/2" x 21" x 36" is my box size and thats about the biggest i can go with a box. sorry dont remember the size and what its tuned to because i built the thing almost 8 years ago. any ideas?

Lots of options out there in that price range. Perhaps being more specific to what you want out of the setup would help a little. It is still more "personal preference" though.

keep the XXX in the closet for when you get disappointed from your new sub. it is still reconable from the guy who built it to begin with. (fixmyspeaker.com)

i was hoping i could get a new sub that would be better than the xxx or at least louder. i do plan on reconing it one day. if no new sub will worth it i guess ill stick with the xxx. just kinda want a change.

you can get louder easily, you just won't keep the same sound quality as you do it.

I would look for a brahma it was the XXX's biggest competition.

I would just change baskets, and put some different softparts in it, and bang that.
