Help me select my first sub setup!

What about this box:
2" clearance under the box

Air Space = .95 cubic foot Per Sub

Mounting Depth = 6.25" (Optional 6 7/8" available)

Mounting Depth based on 6" diameter magnet

Box divider & Speaker terminals included

Hole cutout for 8" Sub = 7"

Hole cutout for 10" Sub = 9 1/8"

Hole cutout for 12" Sub = 11"

Would that be big enough for some 12s? Would it be worth lifting the seat?
Not after displacement.. 10s would still be a bit tight.

Ok so I've been looking at some of the subs mentioned and am most interested in the Fi X10s. For the X10 is has listed a volume of .25-.5 cuft, which seems really small. It has a displacement of .06 cuft so that would still only be .56 cuft max (per the specs listed on their site). These sound like they would fit well as the box has .65 cuft per chamber. What do you guys think about this setup? Should I put that fill stuff in it? I heard it makes it sound like the box is larger than it really is.

I also have a local company called Addictive Audio who I hear very good things about. Curious if any of you have ever heard of them. - Addictive Audio

addictive audio is good ,a little pricey i've heard tho.i've got 2 fosgate dvc 10s and a audiopipe aspm 1300 amp ,i'd sell you and i'm not too far away from clovis,an hour or 2 drive i think

No thats the min. Max is 1.18. Ya I'll just stick with 10s.

So what's better between 2 ohm or 4 ohm? I'm guessing it has to do with the amp and way it will be wired. So with 2 Fi X10s I would need 800rms total. Would it be better to get say a 1000rms amp and turn it down?

Is the setup this guy listed any good?

Ya Addictive is a little pricey, but he will cut you a deal (at least somewhat). Only problem is I think he usually uses ported enclosures which I don't have enough room for, so I don't know how good they would be in a sealed box.

There is really good advice on this forum, ive used it for many questions ive had in the past so dont let anyone sell you.. I had a 04 F150 with the box under the seat and i had first a set of Kicker CVR 10's, than a set of Memphis 10's, than the kicker CVT 10's (shallow mount) and lastly before the truck was totaled and lost to the scrap yard 2 of the alpine swr-t10's. That is 4 different sets just not the 2 the local stereo shop is trying to sell you. There are many options available so go with what suits your budget and liking the best. These guys on here with 1000 plus posts know what they are talking about and there are many good deals to be found. if your patient you will put together an awesome system.

I don't think I'd go with the X's. I remember when I had the 10 and it didn't do very well in a small box, but when I put it in a 1.6 cube ported box it was much better.

I think 2 8's would do well

My bad I was looking at the wrong sub box specs, it has .95 cuft per side. This box would require a seat lift. Max cuft for the Fi X12s is 1.18 (with displacement), would .95 cuft per side with polyfill be sufficient and worth the extra money?

Man, this is a lot harder than I thought it was going to be! Which model Dayton would you guys suggest? I tried looking them up but there were several different models.
