got bu/\/\p?
i just received a mag 15" d2 less than a week ago, then yesterday my amp end cap

vibrated off the amp and got stuck between the amp rack and the sub, needless to say, it ripped the surround, luckily i noticed before it broke all the way through, it is about 30-40% of the way through it. i want to repair it somehow but am not sure what to use.. anyone with experience in this? the mark is about half the size of a penny

because it wont look like some shitty job that a grease monkey did. the only thing that you will see is the little mark where the hole was instead of a bunch or silicone which your just going to have to live with unless you recone it. if its like a major hole and not a slit then put some tape or something over it on the front and then put the sealer on the underside.

no its not that bad at all, as i said its only 50% of the way through.. i was just concerned as to what should be done, where would i get some of this sealeant? and is it even necessary? could the material rip more from the movement of the sub?

Rubber cement in the crevice, let it cure, you should be good to go.

Reenfoce the opposite side with a layre or two of rubber cement as well just so it doesnt rip all of the way through.
