He will be building a box, so ill need a box design for him to go by too

Subs - 250

Amp - 180

Wire - 50

Box - 50

Batt - 70

Sounds like he wants more than he wants to pay for...if I was him I would pickup atleast a used HU/AMP since you can get some amazing used deals (got my used mtx 92001 amp for 500$)...also some steal of a deal woofers on here...Id tell ur friend to get off his high horse and just get some used equipment from a trusted seller here but thats just me...I have no problem buying used equipment, and can be happier with some of it. He may spend 600$ on all new equipment and think it all sucks because he cheaped out and went bottom of the line just cuz its new instead of midline used....just my 02....

I wouldnt consider AP bottom of the line, its right up there with the big boys, imo. Too bad they dont make 18s yet

hmm, i dunno if i agree with that. Safe to say they have mid level stuff...

Sorry I wasnt refering to the stuff you listed, Im just talking about in general 600$ for an entire setup and he wants it new seems a little on the low side...

Well, half their amps are running the same boards as the "big boy" companies now, id consider that high level, and their flagship 15s will take 1500w+. Suppose they could be considered mid level until they come out with 18s and 21s, atleast they will still be the ultimate budget company.

I owned 4 of the black 3000Ds , decent amps but eh... the Black 3" Coil Ipipes were nice too.
