Help Me Please

Hey everybody

Im having some problems. I have a 1996 jeep cherokee and i put a amp and sub in it. It was all working fine until one day the light on the amp started flashing and no sound came out of the sub. At first i thought the amp or sub was blown so i took them to best buy and had them tested but they were both good. so then i went and checked all the wire connections and fuses and wires. I cannot figure out what is causeing the power problems.

Any suggestions?????

The only difference between the Best Buy test and your car was the Best Buy test uses known working wiring and a steady 12v. Since the vehicle still works, (indicating steady electrical system) logically, you could make the guess that your wiring is to blame.

Pick a nice day, rip out all the power, ground, and remote lines going to your amp, and re-run them. Try different routes to the amp, and larger wire if it's feasable.

Good luck.

FYI: Questions like this are more easily answered if you had given more info. Like "I have brand X amplifier and brand Y subwoofer with 8 guage wiring and a 24 guage remote wire from brand Z receiver, etc etc..."
