Yea, that works as well if you are handy with tools. I have used everything from small allen wrenches to screw drivers over the years lol. All that needs to happen is to be able to push over the locking tab.Use paperclips. You dont actually need a tool to remove it. It is just a clip on the inside that has to be pushed aside. My first car was a probe and that was what I did to remove mine
