Help me pick an amp please

So I currently have a 10" eclipse subwoofer. It's the one here Eclipse SW6010 10" Dual 4 ohm SW6200 Series Subwoofer

My old amp is a jl500/1v2, it has no output even though the power is on. If I knock on it, it will work for a bit and then stop. I think it's need repairing. Anyway I need an amp for the time being. Looking for something with 500w rms at 2 ohms. I'm currently looking at audio technix 400.1 or Rockford prime r500x1d or something like that. My budget is around $120 bucks, since I will have to spend some money on repairing my jl 500/1. Help me out on picking an amp or suggest me something within my budget.

That rockford prime r500x1d is probably your best bet.. Every other amp in its class is above your budget already. You might be better off without fixing the JL amp because you're just wasting more money. Or just get it fixed and don't buy a new amp.

So the audio techix is no good? I was leaning toward that, I also was looking at this mb quart here
