Help me pick a 300-400 watt amp

Going to need an amp that can do between 300-400RMS @ either a 2 or 4ohm load to power a 15" Boston G2 SVC or DVC. Was hoping to get a used amp around $50-70, but if need be I guess $100 if it's worth it.

So far new I found:

$110- Precision Power i650.1 400w @ 4ohm new on amazon

$115- Alpine MRP M500 300 @ 4 ohm new on ebay

$90- Rockford Fosgate 300.1 300w @ 2 ohm used on ebay

$113- JBL GTO-501EZ

any other suggestions?

We can match that price on i650.1. It's new and you get the factory warranty. Those other amplifiers? If you have a problem you're most likely at the mercy of the seller to do an exchange.

I do like the price on the ion series i650.1. I've read PPI went downhill, but really there's nothing supporting that claim. I do like supporting forum vendors so if I did decide on the amp I'd buy it from you. Anyone familiar with this amp? How is the SQ and rated power? And I see that it includes a bass knob; is that for bass boost or controlling the sub output all together? I've used a scosche RCA knob that reduced the signal so I could turn the sub up/down or completely off which was nice

It's a bass boost knob. I was skeptical about the iON series until I saw them in person and tried the i650.1. It's really well built and it seems to make plenty of power, plus it's really small.

Are you positive it's a bass boost knob? I looked on their website and says gain knob included. I'd much rather it be a gain knob then bass boost as I always leave that off, but I want a gain knob for sure even if I have to buy a universal rca type.

my little vvme 800.1 is a powerhouse for $63...

I blew the dustcap off my sub when I rolled the gain knob for the first time :/

Its also much easier on my electrical than an apsm 1300 but has more output with lower gain setting and sounds less distorted down low.

Its white, green plexi, and lights up green. Looks sweet. Check it out, if you don't like it, I got a friend wanting one after hearing/seeing mine...
