Help me out on small sub choice...

Not sure Assasins would get the job done....After talking to Mike at SS thinking maybe 600wrms may be too much daily for the RL-i series...I wish they made a 10" RL-p....Anyone else know any awesome 10's?

I couldn't see myself buying a sub any smaller than a 10". Sure you could get lots of 8's to fit in a given area but I just can't imagine an 8" sub reproducing low bass notes. But I'm never seen anyone with 8's to make me a believer in them.

Alirght looks like I have it narrowed down to 4 subs 2 are a little more then I wanted to spend but won't break the bank LOL..I have never personally heard any of them so someone help me out here.

TC Sounds T1000 10 ( I know it is very similar to the RL-i 10 but it is rated at a little more power handling, and a little more Xmax + cheaper) 168 SHipped brand new

JL audio 10W6V2 (a little more then I originally wanted to spend but seems like it will fit the bill nicely) Roughly 250 shipped new off egay

Diamond Audio D6 10 (Good price, good power handling but is it comprable to the others I am mentioning in SQ?) Roughly 170 shipped from Ebay

Alpine Type X 10 (a little pricey but I have always loved this sub only thing that keeps me from it now is, is 600wrms enough for it? Other then that fits the bill perfectly) Around 230 shipped from Ebay.

What do you guys think? I am sure I will be happy with any of them but If the TC1000 or D6 will perform right there with the others but 100 cheaper then that isnt hard to figure out. LOL But **** that Alpine is sexy LOL

LOL Assassins not getting the job done..... have you heard assassins? They are louder then shit for the money.....and I've done probably 10 installs using them..... my best friend had 2 Assassin 8's in his trunk in a big *** 3 cube box tuned to 34 and 600 watts on the pair ..... wanna talk about low bass..... these things had his trunk flexing inches. Let me just put it too you this way.... we sat someone in the car who has 4 sx15's and 5000watts and he swore up and down it was at least 2 entry level 10's if not 2 12's.

Hmm Interesting..Maybe I will look into them a little further. What benefit does the flatwind coil option have? Just by looking at the sub and the T/s it puts me in the mind set of an RE SE. I know looks mean nothing and the T/S means very little in the real world. But just saying, I hope it is a step above the SE. Not that SE's are no good just not really what I am looking for at this time..

the 8's sound REAALLLYY good in oversized boxes. I had 6 in my explorer running at 2.6 ohms (roughly 2800 watts) between my AV18's and hAvoc 15's and THey had close to the same response as my AV18's in 4 cubes to 32hz.

That is what I was talking about.. I have no doubt they are awesome, but I am coming off a mag here I will obviously lose output, which is fine but I think I can retain most if not all of the SQ with a high quality 10...

"oversized" isnt exactly an option. Of course oversized for an 8 is still pretty small lol but having to add a 2nd or maybe even 3rd one starts causing issues as well.

Alright I guess I am an SI *****...I decided to stay with em and just ordered a BM 10 from SHowrides....SO no more wondering what to get or debating....I went out on a limb and thought someone who makes a sub as perfect as a Mag pretty much can't make a bad one...So its a done deal ordered and paid for!
