Okay so I was really deep into car audio from the time I got my first car at 17 up until about 1 year ago. I started working and found love and in the process lost all my free time and disposable income. Gladly I am back at it, although I still have very limited time and money lol...I am finally designing my next big system!

So my last setup in my current car was ghetto as F###, nothing tucked, horrible voltage, and my wire was all fried...But hey it banged right? I promised my self that the next system I built would be proper, and that no expense would be spared. No more cutting corners, and no more junk.

Look over what you see below and tell me what you would do to optimize this build.

keep in mind this car is stock besides having a deck, amp, and speakers mounted

no deadening or anything to enhance the sound, no mdf rings on the speakers, nothing........how would you build a box, what would you tune too, would you run two amps? Really just any advice you can think of really. I have plenty of ideas of my own, however I am just curious to see what the majority of people will recommend.

What i'm working with

Car: 2002 Infiniti I35 w/Sport package

Configuration:trunk 60/40 split rear seats

Voltage System

*Mechman 270A alternator

*Front Battery: Diehard Advanced Gold AGM (775 CCA, 55AH)

*Rear Battery: Diehard Platinum AGM (930 CCA, 75AH)

*Still trying to find good 0 gauge or 2/0 gauge OFC wire/cable to run and do the big three with

*JL Audio Terminals and grounding lugs

Front Stage

Deck: Pioneer PRS-80 grounded and powered directly from front battery via 8 gauge

Line driver: JL audio 6-9v preout

Amp:Infinity Kappa Five (75 rms x 4 @ 2ohms) + (300 rms x 1 @ 2ohms)

Speakers:Infinity Kappa 60.11cs (front and rear doors)

spliced into factory wiring currently

Mid Stage?

*1 8" Infinity reference sub running off the 5th channel of the kappa five, plays nothing lower than 80hz

Sub Stage

Amp: SoundQubed Q1-2200Wx1 Mono Block Amp (2200W rms @ 1ohm) eventually getting 2

Sub: Stuck between Sundown Audio Z v.4 18" and Fi Audio SP4 18"

Box: Using birch ply and glassing the inside...either building it in the trunk at around 10 cubes, or building one at around 8 cubes, maybe 7.5 cubes after disp, and I have yet to decide tuning or port placement (need advice)

Honestly I don't think it would be hard for them to make it where you use android auto AND your own music source. They made it able to do so...

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
