Could be your headunits RCA's as well. Doubtful, but it has happened to me. Invest in some MD****ingF and build yourself a box to its specs.

exactly, i have three and they need to be ported or you will want to kill yourself... PORT IT NOT SEALED in 1.5ft^3... plus the sub itself takes up .19ft^3 so thats a small azz box... horrible idea to run it sealed.

Lol this is typical. People spend a bunch of money on a nice amp and expensive sub. Then they throw it in a junk box. That's like buying a new bluray player with all of the best cables and lots of nice bluray movies. Then you hook it up to the crappiest tv you can find with hdmi. It just doesn't make any sense.

go back and check and make sure that you dont have any of the positive and negative speaker leads mixed up, but i would deff. get a bigger ported box

i dont think its the RCAs, i have monster cable gold plated RCAs. I guess i will try setting the gain with a DMM, and if that doesnt solve the problem then i will build a box....

If you're going to buy one, then have someone here build it for you. I doubt 99% of the ebay boxes are really tuned to the specs that they are claimed to be. At least here you know it'll be done right.

the subs probably messed up take it out of the box and remove the "spair" and check to see if anythings wrong with it

or maybe your low pass is set wrong subsonic shouldnt matter in a sealed box but its a solo x so i really wouldnt know.

listen to him, and me, and everyone else who says to port it... you are doing something ignorant by running it in a choked out sealed box.

for a brief time i had my 12 inch solo x in a sealed box. probably around 1.5-2ft. it sounded awesome, just wasnt super loud.

then i put it in the "compact" vented box from the manual and that shit slammed. i wish i never got rid of that sub.
