Help me making my very first webpage in my life LOL

i seriously need help guys... im making this webpage but i know bull-jackshit about webdesign and shit...

well basicly this is how i want the page to be

plain and simple, but something's not working... i need the emblem above and the menu on the left to be together (there's a small gap inbetween them) and i need to add clickable links to each word on the menu, how to do so?

i want the homepage to be all in the black space between the emblem and the menu like an old skool homepage but i want the emblem and menu to be appearing all the time, how do i do so?

last but not least, i need a SIMPLE and friendly user interfaced webmaking program, please tell me one.. im not getting along with Dreamweaver anyhow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

you need to write them all into the same table. the way youre code is written they are two separate entities which will cause a space between them in html.

i suggest you read up about html to begin with. get a base in understanding that then start making pages. if you cant learn something as simple as html then you dont need to be making websites.
