What would be a good system (brand etc.) to get under 500 bucks for a 95 honda accord with blown stock speakers? I know thats not a lot. Can I get 2 good subwoofers and a quality amp and some new speakers??

Give me some good advice on what to get and from where.

Thanks.

I recomend the sony d-class amp(XM-3001SXD).I have one and they are nice amps for around $200(future shop or shop around for it man). For subs I recomend AUDIOBAHN ALUMINUMS the sell for around $125 each or less(shop around online or where you live). That leaves you with maybe $50 dollars so then you can't get any really nice speakers but maybe SONY XPLOD component set(future shop or shop around)maybe you can find better man.HOPE I COULD HELP.Keep it loud and real.

i personally disagree with the whole sony xplod set up. the only good sony is sony es which retails for like 200 plus a componet set........your best bet is to go to ebay and search for some stuff..you can find awesome stuff for cheap. if you want really clean sounding stuff for your car i would go with something like infinity reference series or kappa series if you can find them for cheap. and for subs don't get aluminum cone subs they sound too heavy in my opinion. had eclipse aluminum cone subs and they pounded but i hated how they sounded....i would go with something like rockford fosgate HE2 or mtx 6000 series subs. hope i helped you some man.

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...
