help me fix my system

ok my bass dips in and out while driving, i assume the battery isnt getting enough of pushing enough juice. i have a 160amp alt, standard batter, 1600w amp(750rms) and a rlp 15.

if i replace my battery with a yellow or red top, do you think it will help/fix my problem? thanks

first i would have the battery tested to make sure it's just not a bad battery, then recheck your ground--make sure it's clean, then i'd upgrade the 'big 3'.

hmm im trying to avoid that right now lol. but u r right i will check all that tommorrow. its funny cuz sometimes when i hit a bump the full bass kicks in for a few seconds, or when i idle at a light it sounds good.

it sounds like your alt might not be able to keep up with the power your amp is drawing, if your unable to do the big 3 right now i'd say go w/ a red top optima and see if that helps any.
