I never thought that in 21-th century I'll have this question //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I don't want to bash any companies, but mine absolutely amazing SQ deck totally sucks when playing MP3's directly from CD //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif If you burn same MP3's to audio CD it's like night and day difference. It would be nice to have an ability to read MP3's from SD card or memory stick. I appreciate any suggestions!

I'm really happy with the MP3 playback on my Kenwood KDC-X790. Mine doesn't have a USB input, but there are similar models which do.

Maybe your SQ deck just brings out the impurities of the sound compared to others that lessen the quality of the output all together making the difference hard to see?

There are a lot of tweaking capabilities on the premier Deh 690ub.

you also have to consider that not all mp3's are ripped the same.

if you try to play 32kbps mp3's, I don't care what deck you have. you should have 160kbps bitrates on your mp3's as they are recorded or you will notice a difference in sound.

Thanks for replies! I am always using MP3's with no less then 192 kbps bitrate. And it seems to be my current deck is doing not so perfect job in decoding it. My friend's deck is even worse. Nero works much better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif If I create an Audio CD from these exactly MP3's it sounds like it should.
