help me find a amp (200$ limit)

that can do 500-700rms@3ohm.

i had the crunch, over heated... had the alpine... blew it (but best buy switched it out for a working one!) i don't think that guy was in that spot for very long..

my budget is 200$ dollars.

Sounds to me like you have a larger issue and its installer error weather it be improper wiring, voltage drops, improper tuning, etc. Id work those issues out first before dropping money on another amp that will likely have another issue.

the alpine popped because i had the bassboost up and didnt even notice it, thought i had moved the LPF instead i had over did the boost /w the gain was already at 75%. It wasnt pushing enough bass so i turned on the gain and as i thought the LPF

the crunch over heated because it was 4 ohm bridged not 2 ohm. i miss read it.

Set your gains properly on the working Alpine amp then. If thats not enough bass for you then get a properly built ported box for the subs specs or upgrade altogether.

the sub i have is great and slams but i am under powering the sub and im just trying to find one that is within its power range within my budget

im only putting maybe around half the RMS into the sub that i could with the alpine.

Ok so why dont you tell us what sub it is, box size and tuning, and what Alpine amp you have?

he says hes looking for ~600 @ 3 and that he's underpowering them by about half, so i'm going to assume he's running the MRP-500. But yea, if you haven't already, look into investing some cash into getting a custom made ported box. You'll be amazed at how much of a difference it will make.

The sub doesnt have a model on it, dealer bought 300 of them when polk discontinued the line, but its a polk audio 500-600RMS@3ohm.

its 3 ohm because i guess a few years ago it was supposed to be part of a "Package deal at 1 ohm" i heard his in his car and i know how powerfull it really is. Just trying to find the right power source

the box i have was designed by one of the members here and its tuned to 33hz.

ill post a video of the sub pushing @ 250-300RMS and it already hits good, just want to fully powerit

You could look at a Phoenix Gold Xenon 600.1. There is one in the classifieds in mint condition for $200. That will run 600@1-4 ohms I believe.

If you're firing forward, you should really seal off the rest of the trunk. You probably have some cancellation issues.
