ok, so as you probably have seen Ive been looking for a amp that can power my d2, dc lvl 4's
Id like a amp that can do 2-3k I was going to buy the ap 3000.1d but.....
my issue is that my car alt is tiny, and Ive spoken with two of the alt guys that have been suggested on this forum
nathan at Excessive amperage says he can easily build me a 200a alt that will bolt right in for 370$ says it will be in original casing,
than I spoke with the guy at mechman and he said he could get me a 150a alt that would work great in the same casing for about 380$ he said that he could make on as big as 250a in a bigger casing but wouldn't recommend it because the alt belt is really small and the belt will probably slip. that alt would be 470$
so I dont really know what to believe, and I hear these storys of guys going threw alts every month. im on a budget here
thats why I was looking at the MMATS amps, I have read that they are suppose to be really really efficient and that their 2-3k amps should be fine with a stock alt, single big batt. from what ive read they are underrated.
so I spoke with a few guys on here and they say MMATS will put out dirty power and wont do what they say, but are built to take a beating.
my questions are...
should I get a H/O alt and the ap 3000.1d and if so, who do I trust when buying the alt?
or
should I get the MMATS amp, or will it put out dirty power.
Im looking for SQL on this build.
