Ok I'm trying to get the last pieces for my system this week. I am running a 2 15" HDC3 off a Crossfire vr4000d, a ppi pc4400, and a 2 channel for my comps. I was thinking of doing 2 deka group 31's in the rear and a 34 up front....but I need help on ordering my fuses, wires, buss bars, ect. What would I need for an install. It''s about 14' from the front battery to the rear. I will be running 2 interior amps, and having 4 guage to them. I was thinking 1/0 runs to the rear and 4 guage to the amps. How many runs do you think I would need? This is my first big install and I'm trying to figure out what I need and need to do mainly for electrical. Pics of your wiring would be nice. Thanks guys? BTW I was going to go all KnuKonceptz wire.

KnuKonceptz ftw and ebay has hella good prices... use more 1/0 if you can unless the amp doesn't have 1/0 inputs idk about that model... use 1/0 btw the batts and inline fuse everything on both sides, amp and batt side, i'd say a nice 150+ size.

sry no pics.. but gl on the build, -Jimmy

Their ebay prices are the exact same thing, and shipping is cheaper when you buy direct.

ok thanks guys. Is it worth doing a run of negative from the front the the rear for the second run. I know I will do atleast 1 run, but for the second I was thinking of grounding off the rear to save wire. Also the connections for all amps are 4 guage. How many fuses do you think I would need for the install? and pics would be nice too.

I had the negative coming from the front and I wouldn't suggest it, I ran into too many problems and I ended up taking out the ground from the front and grounding it in the back, you should do the same thing.

You need to fuse the positive wire on both ends of the POSITIVE wire, and then fuse going to the amps. Use 250/300a fuse for 0 gauge wire for the positive run, then use what ever amps your amp requires.

that amp will pull about 500 amps of current at full tilt...it will snap a 150 amp fuse like a match ....id run 4 runs of 1/0 2 pos 2 gnd with a 250a on each pos run run....tie a single 400 a fuse off one of the rear batteries to the amp ...don't forget to fuse rear bats where they tie into the main battery....

Ok thanks sounds good. Would it be ok to do 1 pos/1 neg run to the back, and then do another ground off the rear. Also would I benifit anything by doing 2 1/0 runs of positve and 1 run of negative. If anyone has any pics it would be great, or a write up, thanks for the help too.

You need to fuse the positive wire on both ends of the POSITIVE wire, and then fuse going to the amps. Use 250/300a fuse for 0 gauge wire for the positive run, then use what ever amps your amp requires.
so you should:

1. fuse the wire 12" from the battery under the hood

2. fuse the same power wire 12" or so BEFORE it reaches the second battery in the rear

3. then.. fuse the amp itself in between the second battery and amp IF the amp doesnt have internal fuses

??

All these fuses are confusing, lotta shit, lol...but yeah I'm trying to understand what is needed around the rear batteries. Anyone local that would be willing to help? Do I need fuses between the rear batteries, or do I just put a fuse between the rear batterie and the amp...it's 4 guage into the amps too. What fuse should I use to support 600 rms for the interior amps? Thanks for the help guys

The crossfire puts out 4000 @ 2 @12 volts, so probably 4800 ish at most because I will have proper electrical, plus another 600-800 for interiors.

...so close to 5500 rms total, all at 2 or 4 ohms.
