Hey guys and girls, first time posting here. I’ve been in audio for quite some time and am usually good at tracking down issues, however I’m kind of stuck here. Installed a new amp and speaker setup on my old man’s 2011 Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager, and every time the volume is on at any level, there’s a very constant hiss, almost like white noise. It doesn’t get louder as you turn the volume up, just constant. Setup is as follows;
Head Unit: Kawasaki OEM
Amp: NVX VADM4 4 Channel
Speakers: 2 Hertz SX165 Neo SPL
Wiring: Mesa CCA 8 Gauge Power & Ground, Meta RCA’s and speaker wire
LOC: PAC SNI-35

tried to remedy with every option I could think of. New LOC didn’t work, new RCA’s didn’t work. Where to look next?

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
