need to know ASAP going to order it next week, 2 12" L5s or 2 10" Type Rs? both will be in a ported box and 1000X1 ohm hifonics bx1000d, in a 92 camry. mostly listen to rap and techno

I just have to ask...why 12's for L5's and 10's for type R's instead of 12's?

but foir the power you have...id say l5's

well the thing is i can get the L5s for $200 shipped and type rs 10" $200 shipped thats why. anyone else?

From personal listening experience, I would go with the l5s, they really slam for the price.

from personal experience with the L5...it gets very loud and sounds like it has alot of potential, but theres just not enough sq for me. but ive got no experience with the type r so i cant help u there

well i like how the kicker comp sound, it has nice sq for $100 subs, so will the L5s have any sq?

its worth getting the 12in type r's trust me

for pure spl the L5s. for sql get the type r's. personally, just from reading about the type r's, i'd go with those hands down. tho kicker did improve the 06 models a bit.

IMO i would take the L5. people hype up the type r a lot and when i was listening to my friends it wasnt what i thought it was going to be. sq was good but output was lacking. ive also listened to a L7(i know were talking about an L5) in a 1cf^3 sealed box and i liked the L7 over the type r. so given the right enclosure and the recommended power i would take the L5's

I have exactly what you listed 2 L5 and a hifonics bx1000d they sound nice. I had mine in a 6cube box after displacement and tuned to 32hz

u wouldnt happend to have pics would u? and a video? and do u have the box design? and will it fit in a 92 camry with some left over space, going to college this fall.
