Help me decide

Sup Guys,

Currently I have a Diamond Audio D610DVC which I blew out. Since it was not under warranty one of the local shops can replace it for me for $60-$80. Or I can get 3 JLW6 for $350.

Which one should I go with, and which ever you think would be better, what amp should I get for it and how should I box them.

I had the Diamond in a pre-fab ported box.

Replace the box with something better. Stick with the DA for $60-80 and what amp do you currently have? What are the W6s, V2? Size? If money is no object, consider the W6s.

The JL are 12" V2, however they are used, where as with the Diamond Audio I would be getting a new one.

If I stick with the Diamond, can anyone give me the spec for building a custom box.

As for the amp I was using a 2000 watt performance teknique, I know its the greatest thing, but that all I had to work with. And at the time I figured it was okay, since PT are over rated and Diamond are underrated I didnt think it would blow it out, but it did.

Reason why it blew was probably because that amp was clipping

Id stick with a new D6

power that puppy up with about 700-800 watts and youll be cookin ...........

Thanks for all the replys guys. I know the JL are a great deal for all three. The only thing is that they are used and I have know idea how badly they have been used/abused, the person agreed to let me test them out first but since I dont have the right box to test them in, I cant really see if they are good or not.

But with the d6 ill be getting a brand new one.

Also I have 2 Diamond audio d312dvc up for sale, however on both of them a set of VC are blown, but they still work and I had them in a ported box and it was poundin. Im takin offers.
