what would sound good in a sealed 1-1.25 cubic foot enclosure?

your budget is pretty high IMO.

Ascendant audio assassin 12(best sub i've heard for $80)

JL Audio 12w6v2

I've tried those and they all sound good. never tried a type r so i wouldn't be able to compare.

If you want sound quality then go (2) jl w1 or (1)w3 or better yet an image dynamics is way better or diamond audio...gl
