Help me decide: box

Science is everything
I am working my way along on my install and am about to get my box build but it looks like it would be more efficient space wise to have the box against the back seats int eh 4runner and then the batts and amps in front. With that though I would need to do subs up/ port up combo. Now the majority of the people with SUVS for Subs up/ port back. Do you guys think I will be loosing any major Dbs with this. Im going for straight SPL. Also do you think 3 4" ports would be nice right down the middle of the two subs. I can get them really cheap. Let me know what ya guys think.

My other option is to put the batts and amp behind the box but then the box would almost be touching the trunk door and I have a good feeling that would effect the loudness if the ports are an inch from the trunk door.

Any feedback is welcome. Thanks

I don't see the point you were making in stating simple facts of how long the ports need to be, did you have a question?

I was just stating that going with 3 6" ports they would have to be almost 20" long which is quite a bit. I guess i was wondering more if it would be better to have the sub closer to the trunk door with the batts and amp behind it or other way around. Thanks

Well... you have two BTL 15's... you need a good amount of port.

It's going in a 4runner you said? You should have a decent amount of room...

I would put the batteries against the back seat (where the slant is)... and do subs up and port back... or both back...

Ports will be almost touching the door, that is not an issue? The trunk of a 4runner isnt as big as you would think

I plugged it into the calculator and it says for three 6"s aeros it would need to be 19.23" long for each.
but more Sq port area

and i was told by a few on this site that for spl it is nice to have 60^2 per 15" driver

i reALLY HAVE NO EXPERTISE SO DO NOT LISTEN TO ME

I WOULD CONTACT IgnoreMe http://www.caraudio.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=10766
