BOTH SEALED.....ok now that that turns alot of people off. I currently run 1 idmax 12"(for sale) sealed getting 1000rms. love the sound, want more output. so have 2 of them i was thinking.however, I like the sound of it in a larger sealed, cant fit 2. So I was thinking 1 tc-5200 15 in a 2 cube sealed. I know nobody has heard a tc-5200, but looking for some viewpoints.

2 IDmaxes-$700 shipped

1 tc-5200 15" $825 shipped

tc box fits, im sure both setups would sound great, and loud, so is this definitaly the case of "cone area FTW?"

You love the single IDmax with 1000w, but dont have room for a second in an equally sized enclosure; but do you plan to add another 1000w or more if you get a second IDmax? If so, I vote the IDmax's.

If you plan to simply divide the power between the two, then I would go for the single 5200.

both subs are highly efficient, so i figured 500 to each idmax would be enough, I just dont really want them in smaller boxes

wow you went through so many subs already. I remember you had a RL-p too. Whichever you pick I hope it will work out for you. Maybe you should just get a SI Mag, but you might not have enough room huh.

Go with IDmaxes of course. Just give each of them at least 1.5 cubes sealed and they should sound great w/ 500watts.
