So you are paralleling an extra set of tweeters with a component set and separate passive crossovers on two channels at two ohms?

Actually it will only be a disaster in regards to the freq response of the system. The highs are going to scream, and you won't have separate control over the tweets to tone them down.

It depends on why you are set on running two sets of tweeters.

If you are dead set on it to try and raise imaging or something like that than I would run them active.

Or if you think you need more to help even out your sound, than I would suggest putting a little more thought into the original location and just use one set of tweets.

Proper installation and tuning will go much further than just throwing in another set of tweets.

I would definitely try that first. Try different placements with the tweeter. If you still arent happy then maybe try another set or a different set altogether. But one component set should be more than enough.
