Help me choose 4x6's

Ok, I had planed to go with some infinity 4x6" speakers for the rear doors of my truck but decided to ask here before I buy them(listed in sig). What is the difference between a plate speaker and a normal 4x6? They are in the rear, near subs so bass isnt really a priority. What I am looking for is a good clean sound with some good RMS handling(the infinitys listed in sig handle like 65). Any suggestions lmk!
