help making ported box

im buying a 12" alpine swr 1222 and i want to

build a box, with to ports the sub in the middle

and a pvc port on each side, thats what i have in mind

and i cant figure out the dimensions, the spec of the sub are:

Frequency Response: 23Hz - 500Hz

Mounting Depth: 195 mm

Ported Box Volume: 0.75 - 1.75 cu. ft.

kyle orsini im mario orsini, whats up pyzon? yer gonna have to give the dimes from yer car or truck for anyone here to best design a box that will work for yer application. even thoe 1.75 cu/ft isnt gonna be huge even when adding all the other displacements box might turn out to be 2.10cu/ft just to say.

a slot port would be easier, but round is possible. you should do 6 inch pvc to get enough port area. having 2 of them is going to make them fairly long, which could get tricky. type R's work best in 2.25 cubes tuned to 35hz. IMO. what are your constraints to size and shape?

the design of the box doesnt have to be like that i just

thought it would look better since im just having a single

12" it would look symetrical thats all.

kcdc30 i dont really have much restrictions in my trunk,

but i would like to mount my alpine mrpm500 to the back of the box or

on top. i want to go with a ported not sealed,

and the shape of it doesnt matter i just cant find out

what the dimensions would be, i just bought 2 sheets

of 3/4 mdf they are both 24'x48' so if someone can think of

a enclosure that would be greatly appreciated
