HELP!!! Lights and battery gauge go really down...

Do not under any curcumstance add a capacitator, it will only worsen your problem, in fact if you go and buy a capacitator(cap) without upgrading your alternator first, I will come over to your house and slap your momma for not teachin you right.
Sorry, I meant to quote this one.

That was meant to be humorous, although in his particular problem an alternator seems to be the way to go. Sorry to offend, I withdraw my rude comment and apologise.

Thats cool but I should be apologizing to you for being an ***. I guess I didn't see the humor and jumped to a stupid conclusion. Anyway, sorry for the mix up. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I would agree with Jsloan10 with all the upgrades he stated , Your factory alt should have no problem running the setup you have. The only thing that I would recommend, is rather than installing a capacitor is add another battery instead. The reason why, is that a capacitor is only designed for quick bursts of bass , like you would find in country, rock, classical, dance, etc. If you add a cap to a system that play rap , hip hop, and extreme bass. You actually create another load that your electrical system has to charge. The reason why is , once the capacitor has fully discharged, the bass note is still going. So now not only does the charging system have to supply sufficient voltage to the amplifier to play the note but also to the cap which has to recharge.
