Just watch the gains when you switch boxes. send a PM to Moe Lester and give him your MAX dimensions of your trunk and see what kind of box he can design you. As far as wiring goes put that thing on the battery and then if you have some headlight dimming then you should upgrade the BIG 3 as well as run 4ga power wire to both amps. Also the sx will not beat the sh!t out of the rl-p...

So I should get rid of the distribution block? IT only can fit 8 guage in it.

First you should wire your power wire to the battery and then if you are having electrical problems upgrade your big 3 with 1/0 ga, and then get a new distro block and run 4ga to both amps.

Honestly, you think an extra 2 inches of box size will make it sound completely different? Even if its still in a sealed box?

That is 1.25 after displacement, yours is .83 after displacement. I have not heard one sealed so I can't commit on how much it will increase, so I still think you should port it. PM Moe Lester and see how big of a box you can fit back there.

my specs are as follows

28" long(left to right)

12" wide(front to rear)

17" deep(bottom to top)

The thing is i would need a wedge shaped hatchback box, a normal rectangle box would not fit most likely. But yeah i will PM him. Mainly im just worried that my sub is gonna continue to bottom out or clip after i fix the wiring, in which case it is either defective or not handling the power. So i have to figure that out first before i start looking at boxes.

Well if you continue to send your amp that ghetto power wire, a new box probably won't help either.

Umm im not. Im rewiring it to the battery tommorow regardless if i have help or not. So all i do is unbolt it from the fuse terminal and rebolt it onto the positive battery terminal? I have a GM car, so I think i need some adapter as well.

I actually confronted the "shop" (circuit city) who hooked up my Power wire to the Aux Fuse Box and asked them "Why?!" They told me "GM battery terminals are shitty, so we hooked it to the fusebox" then i said, id rather you have hooked it up right and they said, "oh, you will need an adapter to hook it to the battery, we didn't want you to have to buy more stuff" so i go to the shelf and the adapter is 10 dollars. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Yeah I had to use an adapter on mine and it all works perfectly fine.

Try to work this out before you decide on a new sub....Chances are its a problem with the install. Iceteebone had 2 12"s, running on a PG tantrum (700ish each), and did a 149.xx on the AC mic, so they can get **** loud.

if after i rewire the car and it is still reaching full excursion and clipping, then i might contact Mike with further details to see if its defective or not. But yeah im not gonna do shit before i rewire the car.

Clipping is a problem with the amp, not the speaker
