Too bad im not in LI anymore, id look the whole thing over for you for free. I just know what this woofer is capable of and it cant be producing it otherwise you would be saying, wow that woofer is nuts.
Try and get a video of the woofer if your digi does it. Id like to see what the woofer id doing.

Also you have a alpine deck, do you have the MX turned on? What volume level do you turn it up too, to get the sub moving like you were talking about eariler?
No i leave MX turned off all the time. When its turned on, the speakers sound absolutely horrendous and they hurt your ears alot. I have to put the volume at like 19-21 before the sub gets moving.

Might have your settings on you HU tuned wrong. Do you do custom eq's or use the factory ones?

Turn them down and turn the MX on, I use level 2 but whatever works for the system. Its possibly your gain is too high on the 9.2 also.

Factory EQ's. Belive me, ive had this headunit for 3 years, and its always given me this problem with several different sets of speakers. The treble is always very very shrill, and the midbass is practically non-evident. Ive run speakers off the headunit itself, and off the amp, and i always get the same problem. I turned on MX the other day with a passenger, and he started complaining saying that it sounded horrible and it was hurting his ears. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif And this is with CDT EF 61 components.

You need to set your own custom eq settings mang!! This would answer all your sound problems

I know the the factory setting for rap on my alpine is too much on my speakers in the mid range, and makes the tweeter real harsh.

Rap sounds fine, its rock that sounds bad. I had about 3 weeks when i had no sub, and the speakers sounded really really bad, it was like listening to 1 inch laptop speakers, no midrange or midbass whatsover. Even when i turn bass up all the way and lower the high pass crossover it doesn't sound right, and the bass sounds very tinny and weak.

Well, im runniong out of ideas short of not being able to see it.

Bring it to someone who knows what they are doing.

you may be having equipment failure somewhere, get that volt meter.

The funny thing is, if something is broken or not, the sub still sounds very very good regardless. It doesn't hit very hard, but the sound quality is incredible, it has the sound quality and accuracy of a movie theatre sub.

Also, i found out that my main power cord for my system is attached to the Auxillary Fusebox in my hood. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif What would that be doing? Basically my entire system (both amps) are connected to that Aux Fusebox.
