Help! Is my amp damaged?

I have the JL 500/5.

Here's my problem. Just recently, the low ohms indicator light comes on. I tried to troubleshooting, but no luck; I even tried disconnection each/all the speaker wires and RCA inputs. Even with just the power, ground and remote connected, the light will not go away and I am even noticing the amp overheating (even at low volume and no gain).

What else could be the problem?
