Help: Installed amp, now alarm isn't working...

Hopefully one of you guys can help me out.

Today I installed an amp in my wife's 04 Mitsubishi Lancer. And now, the alarm (Python 700) isn't working. The transmitter will beep as if it is out of range, and it doesn't arm.

I've been doing car stereo and amp installs myself for over 10 years now. I didn't do anything different than what I noramlly do. I didn't touch any of the alarm wires. Obviously, I disconnected the battery.

My guess is that it needs to be reprogrammed. If that is the case, I had it installed at Circuit City and I still have the paper work. Will they reprogram it for free?

I'm pretty sure CC guarantees their installs for lifetime, IIRC. I know best buy does for sure. I'd swing by and have them take a look at it.

When you reconnected the battery, was your remote on you or close to the car?
