Guys, i'm due this august for my car insurance.. any recommendations on what insurance to go through and what are you paying? I have been surfing the net for a good car insurance..help me guys.. thank you so much.

Most online quotes are gonna be inflated. Geico wanted, I think it was $2500 every six months for my insurance. It costs $840/year through state farm for liability. I don't think that's too bad since I'm just 17. It'd cost right at $1200 for full coverage, IIRC.

I just switched from progressive to American Family.. AF was about the same ($850 for 6 months)...but i get better coverage (higher limits and $250 deductible) and also renters insurance for my house..

Thanks for all your advice..ill check those out..i recently checked out http://www.allstate.com but they give high quotes. http://www.statefarm.com is ok though. I was able to check out some quotes at http://www.insurance-qoute-free.com they’re like brokers here so it’s cool. Thanks again for all your suggestions.

I don't have any DUIs, hell I don't even have a ticket. I guess it's just because I'm 17. Online rate systems are flawed, IMO.

when i was 17 mine was only like $140 a month, and i had a sports car too. but that was with my parents, not on my own.

get some better grade son!! get the good student discount. I think mine was like 75/month!! and im still on that, heh heh heh (they havent caught on yet) shhhhhhhhhhhh(as I announce to the interweb.)
