Sorry i just started learning this car audio stuff a week ago and i forgot it all. I just have one question though if i have a DVC sub rated at 4 ohms for 400wrms and i wire it to 2 ohms is it still going to have an RMS of 400w?

Yes the sub will still have the rms of 400 watts.

You are just wiring it to 2 ohms because your amp puts out 400 watts at 2 ohms right?? Is the sub dual 2 or 4 ohm??

ya it's 400 x 2 at 2 ohm It'll be a DUal 4 ohm. Thanks for the help man.

YES, find a amp that is 400-500 rms @ 2 ohms..............look at fosgate, mtx, soundstream,orion, hifonics(for cheap)...or others...no cheap stuff such as pyronid, jensen,lanzar...ect
