I have narrowed my choices down to 2. 2 alpine type r 2005 in a 3.5 cu. ft box tuned to 35hrzs or 2 ed 13 kv.2. I will be giving them 350 to 400 watts rms. In an acura integra 1991. they will be inth same box. I am lookin for sql.

Are yours in a sealed or ported box and how big is it

I have one in a SEALED box..

All Alpines should be in a SEALED box.. Get another sub if you want em ported..

Now, if you go and put a type r in a high tuned prefab box, of course its gonna sound bad. how low should I tune the box and how big should ti be. remember its going in the trunk of a acura integra sedan

For 12's? I would go for 1.7 a piece if space is an issue, these subs like it all the way up to 2.5. As for tuning, you definently want to go low, mine are at 33 and it sounds great. Actually i have some plans sitting around if you want them.
