Help Hooking up.

Yesterday a friend gave me a great deal on the Yamaha YSP-800. I picked up an optical cable for the TV which is a (Dell 37" LCD) I am running my computer off the Yamaha via RCA jacks. The only thing i cant get to work is the Xbox.

The Xbox is hooked up to the tv via an HDMI cable. The Yamaha doesn't have an HDMI input sadly. Iv tried using the TV out jack but that doesn't work.

Whats the deal here, how do I get the xbox to produce sound through the yamaha sound bar?

Also if i have to lose the HDMI cable to get sound and go with component cables will the picture suffer at all. I'v heard HDMI is the best for picture.

I'm guessing you could go from audio out on the TV into an audio IN on the Yamaha thingy

Usually you are not going to be able to run HDMI into the TV then Optical out.

BUT, you might be able to get Analog out of the TV.
