Help hooking amp up correctly.

Ok, so I have an mxa282 lanzar amp. On websites it claims to have 1000 rms x 2 but just to let everyone know thats not true, in the booklet that you get with the amp it says 300 rms x 2. Ok so now anyways I have the entire car hooked up and it sounds great, but its just short of how bad I want it to hit. So, I tried bridging the channels and running the subs in parallel. In the booklet it says the amp is 2 ohms stable. I have a 4 gauge power cable, and a 4 gauge ground, sanded down, good connection. I had an AGU 60 amp fuse, and that snapped in about a minute tops. I went to a car audio store the next day and got an AGU 80 amp fuse, and that popped as well. The fuses on the amp total to only 70, so im not sure why the AGU 80 amp doesnt work, unless somehow bridging it requires more amps, or if there are some fuses inside the amp that arent being shown. The amp wiring kit claimed to be able to take 1650 watts rms, and the guy said it could probably take a little more than that but not much, but regardless to that, my amp is bridge parallel should only be pulling a max of 1200 watts rms, so should I just up the power cable wire fuse to like a 150 ANL fuse or what? Thanks for the help whoever replies.

According to some forums online that Ive read, youre supposed to divide your total RMS wattage by 12.6 and thats about how many amps you need. According to that, I would need about 95 amps. Is this true?

could I ask why that would make a difference? I mean what size amperage of a fuse should I use because they only go up to 100, I have an 80 amp maxi fuse currently that I could give a try.

You're using 4 gauge wire, upgrade to either Mini-ANL or ANL and use a 150amp.

Assume 1200wrms output, efficiency of 80%

1200 / 12.6 = 95 amps. 95 amps / 80% = 120A

Full tilt your amp will be pulling way over 80A

Thank you, I actually tried using a maxi fuse 80 amp and it did last a lot better but it still popped after a few minutes of use. I just bought an AML fuse holder and a few 150amp ANL fuses off of amazon. Thanks for the help guys!
