my computer just fell off the bed and now i have absolutley no back light. what can i do?

if this isn't in the lounge, im sorry but i have a flashlight on the screen trying to read it.

when it fell off, the screen was all wite and it wouldn't respond to buttons.

i then held down the button till it turned off

when it came back on i thought the screen was broken but i saw it under the light,

any suggestions?

Backlight inverter, I had to replace mine in my Compaq. It's a little strip that sits just under your LCD in the lid, down at the bottom.

Usually can get 'em for $20-30 on Egay depending on the model.

its ok now im on the other comp and yea the dell guys said it was either the strip or i needed a new led bulb?

but omfg i fuking said fleshlight,

im now a bamf.....
