i was in my car today rewiring my car changing my 8 gauge to 4. when i was done i got in my car to go to the gym and i relized my head unit wasn't on and then i start goin crazy and now i can't think str8 why would my head unit stop working if i hadn't touched it or even been close to it and ow yea my amp isn't powering either so some one please tell wats goin on

under dash and probaly the battery fuse would be underhood.

depends on what type of car you have, mine (grand prix) are located in my glove box underneath a panel....

I wasn't gonna bash your car.....thats your preference, and my pontiac is the biggest piece of shit that anyone i know has owned...

x2 on what desertheat said.... the battery fuse is located in the engine compartment, probably in something that looks like a plastic box....

Factory headunits may need to be reset - antitheft / theft deterrant

it isn't a factory head it is panasonic

Make sure the faceplate is all the way on. I know it may sound dumb but mine did the same thing a while ago. I hit a nasty pot whole and my HU stopped working. When it did work i would go to change something (track, vol, etc..) and it would shut off. I then relized the face plate wasn't fully on. Try pushing on it and see if that helps.

my face plate is all the way on my wires are all connected my fuses are all good what else is there

check all the wires again...did you sodler them, tape em check those connections...is the wiring harness in all the way...is it grounded properly...i got a ford to and i have some minor electrical problems....

i fixed the problem it was my memory wire it was bad so i hooked it up' to my power wire so now it works but i have no memory
