I agree a new HU might be the only solution.....

x2.... if not it's off to find a new HU.. because i don't really think there's a way to fix preouts.. please correct me if i'm wrong

You could get them fixed but it would probably cost the same or more as getting a new HU, Take a look at the new Eclipse and kenwood stuff they have excellent perfomance and features with a good price and a very low rate of failure.
