help... Good for ~40watts?

well i demolished my Philips stereo subwoofer and stripped out its amp. On the back it says 75w and the woofer it was powering is 4ohm and 40watts... so i figure its probly good for atleast 40watts maybe?

Now with however much power this thing is putting out what kinda box should i use to optimize the little amount of power i have? The sub will be a SFX FX12 rated ~250rms

id buy that from you but i got less $$$ than you...

why dont you just check ebay for something really cheap...and that would be able to play that 250w...not to full potential but would never the less

Where it says 75w on the back....it that near where it also states 110v 60Hz or something akin to that?

If so then the 75w is indicative of its power consumption rather than its output.
