Help finding 8 Ga speaker wire

power wire = individual wires
he wants a PAIR of 8 guage wires connected together.
Req, silly req //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

If he wants he could always Techflex or split loom the wires together, thereby making a single strand. Electrically, there's no difference.

Knukonceptz sells 8awg twisted pair "speaker" wire, if you really want to spend the extra money...

I know that silly jackman-

but he wanted SPEAKER wire (ie, pair), because apparently he wants them together for some reason. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just pointing that out is all. but yes, kunkonceptz.com would be the first place i go to look for that.

again WHAT IS THIS WIRE FOR?

i just stated before that i have a 12" xxx and a box but no terminal cup, so i decided to get that big bastard from cardomain and use that, and i saw that they used 8 gauge wire and i didnt know which they were referring to, obviously now i know

Speaker wire has a high voltage application requiring less current therefore needing thinner wire.

Power wire for 12v amplifiers runs at low voltage but high current therefore needing thicker wire.

Think in terms of water flow- low pressure high volume water flow needs a big hose

High pressure low volume water needs small hose.

You're home theater amplifier has uses a 16 gauge main power wire because its connected to a 120v power source, car audio uses 8 to 0gauge wire because its connected to a 12v power source.

The higher the voltage the less wire you need.

Speaker outputs are more voltage then current so they require less wire, a 12 to 16 gauge wire will work fine(untill you get into the kilowatts of power range).
