I'm not going to read all 44 posts, but in my experience, the RF amp isn't as clean sounding as some people think. They tend to build them (certain lines, not sure which ones) with a hump in the bass response. I also know this as it is also what I was told by a former RF employee, as well as the reviews from CA&E (before their demise, as well as AS&S, CSR) and their tests have confirmed this.
Is the Hifonics amp a SQ amp? No, but it's built w/a flat response in mind. How well they have achieved this, idk.
I will offer you this, next time I'm over that way, I can give you a shout and check out both amps personally in my truck in an A/B comparison. My In-Laws live in St. Henry and I'm there about every other month. Just went for Christmas, so it'll be a bit before we go back.
